Shucks Fish House & Oyster Bar

After watching an episode of "Diners, Drive-in's, and Dives", I decided to head to dinner. I arrived to the location listed on Triple D and was surprised to find that the restaurant I was looking for was no where in sight (even though I knew I was in the right spot). I was hungry, so I decided to try its replacement, Shucks Fish House & Oyster Bar. The restaurant is very hidden on a busy street, so that if you were not looking for it, you would never know it was there. The door to the restaurant has a large round window (similar to a cruise ship window). Inside the door is a small room with a long bar and three booths. The menu features a variety of fresh fish entrees, gumbo, Po' Boys and more. I ordered a shrimp Po' Boy and Lobster Bisque.

The Lobster Bisque was creamy and delicious. I would have preferred if it contained pieces of lobster, but I really enjoyed its creamy and rich flavor. The shrimp were perfectly hand breaded and crispy, yet juicy and flavorful inside. This is definitely a place I would like to try again, as the menu has so many delicious sounding entrees and appetizers.
